Behind the scenes at TimmerHaus

‘Busy in the background’ is something that resonates perfectly with Eleanor Martin, Director of Operations & Creative at TimmerHaus.

With the diversity of all the different TimmerHaus offerings, Eleanor explains why her Operations team has to be multifaceted to keep the machine behind the services accessible and versatile.

“As a consulting team, we ride the ebb and flow of a hugely diverse set of client demands. Assessment and development projects can run for months at a time, while other, more bespoke services might look like a series of one-to-one coaching sessions or facilitating an intimate Boardroom dynamics service. No two months are ever the same, which makes our proposition so exciting, and our impact so rewarding.”

“I think what differentiates us from many other Consultancies is ‘connectivity’,” she muses. “I recall at the onslaught of covid how readily the continuity of many other leadership programmes collapsed. It’s still a source of rich pride for us in the TH Operations team, that, in being driven by this value, we were already ahead of the game on technical competence and so could still deliver on our engagements.”

Eleanor goes on to share some recent new developments within TimmerHaus

“Despite our strengths and experience in supporting these leadership services technically, we are now in the fortuitous position of having expanded our offices to include a private, remote retreat that will offer additional security and discretion to clients who wish to escape the noise of their own environment. We are also excited that this facility will allow us the flexibility and technical know-how to creatively live stream and interact with our virtual audiences – something we are proficient at already, having achieved this with our partners over the past few years.”

The virtual world in which consulting services continue to thrive appears to be a flawless extension of what historically was limited to just face-to-face. Still, Eleanor is quick to defend the need for continued flexibility.

“Our clients get to choose. We create our programmes based on their criteria, not ours. We work with their goals & realise their business aspirations, creatively working around any limitations to deliver excellence. The team is constantly immersed in designing new bespoke solutions influenced by psychology expertise, as well as delivering and facilitating interventions in person. We  can be found charging across Europe to join team-building adventures, coaching a CEO at our offices, or immersed in confidential Boardroom dynamics across Benelux.” She laughs before concluding, “The scope of our work is without boundaries and the demand for versatility is constant.”

Eleanor welcomes the peaks and troughs of her role and gives credit to her team for their diversity of experience and knowledge.  She ensures that TimmerHaus’s technology remains cutting edge and uses it to aggregate information to evaluate its client’s return on investment. “Constant review and recalibration mean that we never stop striving for excellence, and we love nothing more than to co-actively design what’s needed with our clients.”

“I am proud of our achievements to date, and I love that we are governed by such a growth mindset. We never seem to stand still, but that’s what I find so exhilarating – the connectivity of how we work: with each other, with our clients and with technology.”
